Thompsonville Tribune | Issue 1 | December 2022

Welcome to the first issue of the Thompsonville Tribune! A monthly progress report for my (soon-to-be) web series, Hollow Hunters. This will be used as a way to keep you all up to date with any current projects including comics, updates to the website, and maybe even character reveals.

Hollow Hunters Lore Dump

This year, worldbuilding will be my top priority. I already have a semi-decent sense of what I want my series to be like, but I still need to put everything on paper. So, I bought myself a handful of notebooks and a big ass binder to store them in. Each notebook will be for a different story aspect (Plot/Episodes, Characters, Etc.). I'm currently working on the base plot for the series and taking notes on what direction I want the series to take. After that, I'll work on the core cast, fleshing out the main protagonist(s) and antagonist(s).

Forest Walk

@Skoops hosted a De(mon)cember challenge last year, where you could draw 15 demons with 15 prompts. I joined in a bit late, so to make up for it, I decided I'll make a comic based on one of the prompts. Forest Walk will be a short webcomic about a handful of tourists, and their grave misadventure deep within the heart of Scarred Woods. There is no confirmed release date as the story is still in the concept stage. I've already shown off one of the monsters that will be appearing in the comic: The Harvester

Hollow Grounds

Hollow Grounds is a personal art project I started a month ago. Inspired by one of my old art threads, I'll be taking iconic Newgrounds characters and turning them into twisted monsters. Like this:

I plan on uploading these drawings in sets of 4. I'm currently working on a drawing of Dad N' Me, but I don't know what I should do for the other two yet...

Website Overhaul

The website I plan to show my comics on has gone through a couple of different iterations, and just like the others, It's kinda bland. I aim to fix that by bringing back the art galleries, for both my own art and fan art alike. I'm also going to be making graphics for different pages, so it's not just "death by words". Most important, however, is the new Blog page. Just like on Newgrounds, I will also be making monthly updates on the website as well.

NOTE: I'll also be showing my comics here on Newgrounds, I just wanted to build a website for fun's sake. :)
