Levi0nL1ne's 2022 Recap
2022 has come and gone and now's when everyone is looking back at their work to see if they've improved, and what they can work on next year. So, here's my take on a 2022 recap.
Evolution in Artstyle?
Timeline, featuring some of my favorite pieces from this year
When it comes to improving my artsyle, I feel I've done pretty decent. Back in January (and a little way through September) was when I still scanned my drawings on a printer, then colored them digitally. I never traced over the sketches. All I did was darken the lines and color the rest. This resulted in some pretty messy line art, leading to some rather lazy looking art work.
Aside from those, I focused heavily on digital art with a few traditional drawings sprinkled here and there. Halfway through the year, I got experimental with different brushes in CSP, adding more texture to my work. I've also put a bit more effort into shading, though that still needs a lot of work. I even tried my hand at lineless art, which I feel came out amazing!
Was I actually productive?
Not really. Sure I joined in a few events, like this year's Secret Santa, and the upcoming Fishing Collab, but there were a handful of personal projects that I announced this year. From large drawings, to some actual comics. However, some of them have either taken forever to make, or never actually came to fruition. I think the only big project I actually finished was Vortox's Thread of Newgrounds Friends.
This is in most part due to my laziness and bad habit of procrastination. I've got no real excuse aside from that. I do plan on fixing that this year, among other things.
Plans for the future
For 2023 I'm going to focus heavily on my characters, primarily world building, along with a few bigger projects involving them. This time, as a way to motivate me to focus and work, I plan on releasing a monthly post (starting tomorrow) showing my progress in multiple Hollow Hunters related projects.
And of course, I'll be drawing other things, and working to further improve my skills. Probabaly finish a few old WIPs as well...

That's about all for this year. All I really got to say now is thank you. Thank you all for sticking with me throughout 2022. Can't wait to see what'll become of 2023!
